The trend has certainly moved away from the clinical white gloss look in recent years – it’s now more about textures and colours. Cool, muted tones are still very on trend but darker colours like navy, teal blue or even black, are becoming more sought after.
Although there is still a call for gloss in the right setting – after all, it is brilliant at reflecting and throwing back light in smaller or narrower kitchens which have limited, natural light – a light and spacious feel can still be achieved by using wood or concrete effect accents combined with muted tones or by throwing in some darker colours to add drama and opulence.
